First published in 1963, Clifford books are still immensely popular, adorning library shelves, classrooms and children's homes across the country. The Clifford stories introduce children to values such as being trustworthy, kind, caring and getting along; as well as concepts such as safety, seasons and health. Young children will enjoy these stories as a read aloud, while children reading at a late grade one/early grade two reading level can read them independently.

7Books: Online Interactive
These easy to navigate, interactive, online stories offer three short sentences per page to be read aloud. The final sentence of each page gives children an opportunity to 'fill in the blank' with a choice of three words, all that make sense. The sentence is read aloud a second time using the word the child has chosen. The background picture also changes to match the child's word choice. Helping to sustain the children's attention, they are invited to play an online game such as tic-tac-toe, while waiting for the stories to load.
